The Conservatorio di Musica "Luca Marenzio" di Brescia is situated in a historic building in the city center and features an outstanding Music Hall housing frescoes by Pietro da Cemmo dating back to 1490. It offers over 50 artistic and educational courses in the field of music, including training in all instruments, Composition, Conducting, Voice, as well as Music Education and Pedagogy, New Technologies, Early Music, Jazz, and Popular Music. It is one of the leading music institutes in northern Italy, with more than 500 students and 75 teachers.

The institution has its headquarters in the city center and occupies part of an old Augustinian monastery as well as part of a nineteenth-century building designed by the architect Donegani. The Brescia Conservatory also has a branch, founded in 1978, in Darfo Boario Terme, a town near Lake Iseo, surrounded by mountains, about 60 km from Brescia.
